Monet, no way.

We've recently been inspired by a documentary we watched about Marla Olmsted, a famous four year old painter whose art sells for fifty thousand dollars. After heading down to Michaels to pick up art supplies we began to paint, only to realize that we weren't blessed with such a gift.

Here is one Danny did. It not quite finished yet.

Misty decided not to post hers.

This one was done together with our fingers

We had a blast and one day hope to really learn how to paint.

So this is what we do on the weekends, or every day. Here is Danny sharing his popcicle with Milo. Milo has gotten to the point where he wont leave us alone unless he gets some.

You can see our new (but we don't really know where it came from) microwave between the chair and couch. We like to keep it in the living room. Very convenient. Actually it is so incredibly large that this is the only place it fits. We didn't realize how helpful a microwave can be; we were living without one for 2 months.

Misty has been sick for the last few days, so we didn't do much this weekend. We saw Inception on Friday night and decided to use up all of our gift cards on Saturday. We went to Sports Authority, super excited to spend $170 on tennis rackets, balls, baseball gloves and more balls. We were there for an hour, until they locked their doors. Everyone really wanted us to leave, so at 2 minutes to ten we brought our items up to the counter. Danny insisted on getting three pieces of Quench gum, I have no idea why because the girl at the counter told us it was the worst gum ever. So we start paying and she asks us for 40 more bucks - our gift card had 130 less dollars than we thought on it. We are really trying to cut back on spending so Misty stopped to think about what to do. Danny just goes on and starts opening the gum and eating it. Long story short, she had to return our purchases and we had to pay 15 cents for the piece of gum that Danny had to eat in line. We walked out empty handed.

Well, that was the extent of our weekend! Only 13 more days until we move into the new place...we can't wait!

Signed a Lease!

Today we signed a lease at the De La Mar apartments in Queen Anne, the most sought after neighborhood in downtown Seattle. It is a super historical building, built as a hotel for the Alaska - Yukon - Pacific Exposition, a world fair in Seattle, in 1909. It has great hardwood floors and crown molding, tons and tons of character. The building is full of really attractive, young, successful, artistic, wealthy professionals - we will fit right in. HA! Although our lease in Renton isn't up until September 1st, we get the keys for the De La Mar on August 7th. The overlap will be a nice transition. We won't have to rush as much, but it will put a little ding in the pockets. We're right by the Spaceneedle in the little map below. Obviously we will post photos of the apartment itself once we get the keys, but here are a couple photos of the outside. We are going to be in the closest possible apartment to the camera - bottom floor on the corner.

Downtown!

Next step: Move downtown Seattle to the Littlefield apartments in the Capitol Hill Neighborhood.

You can see more info here...
and don't worry we wouldn't have that disgusting tub with the Swan.

Since we were downtown touring the apartment we
thought it time to try a Famous Dick's Cheeseburger.
The Chocolate shakes were amazing.

Hello from Seattle!!!

Well unfortunately this is
the only picture that we have
taken together since we've arrived
in the "emerald city." Terrible.

Tons of junk has happened since
we tiedthe knot and headed north.
I suppose the biggest was the day
Misty dragged home a cat.

Don't let Danny fool you though,
he's in love with Milo.

Anyway, things are going well here in Washington.
We'll be sure to keep you posted.
